Hua Li

Li Hua

Hua (Lee) Li brings extensive knowledge and experience to Club Heights Volleyball as a director and coach.  Before Coach Lee immigrated to US about 5 years ago, he was a professional volleyball play and beach volleyball player for the Chinese National Team.

During that time, his team and he has won several national championships.  Also, he has received several individual awards including gold and bronze medals for 1998 and 2002 Asian Games.  In 2004, he retired from team as a player, but stayed as a coach for the Shanghai Volleyball Team.

After he immigrated to US, he coached volleyball at Club West for 3 seasons for the 17-years-old group, and Club Vertical for 1 season for the 18-year-old group.  He was the Varsity coach for Nogales High School for the 2012-2013 season in which he led them to the schools first ever playoff match. Coach Lee is now the Varsity coach at Diamond Bar High School. From his own words, he has learned quite a lot from coaching at both clubs about how volleyball is played in U.S.  However, he thinks a lot of the techniques and strategies in volleyball are similar across countries and allover the world.  So he would like to integrate Chinese and American style together.

His goal at Club Heights is to pass along his experiences and knowledge that he has learned as a player and a coach from both cultures, in the hopes that we can all have fun and be successful together.
